A deposit of $425.65 was made for Penny Wars. $100.00 was donated and deposited for preschool equipment purchases. $1.00 was deposited for PTA sales. The closing balance came to $1786.67. The $40.00 will come out of the money set aside for preschool playground purchases. A motion to accept this report as read was made by Brandi and a second by Su. All were in favor and none opposed.
Project Managers Report:
Preschool Playground Equipment – Brenda emailed Christy Owens in regards to the potential item found at consignment store Re-Kid in Lexington. She does not feel this equipment would be efficient for their needs and is too small. This item is no longer something we should pursue to purchase. The following items were received and donated to Preschool: kitchen set, car seat(for transporting) and a tool bench.
Inventory Manager – April did not report any inventory reviews. She was unable to get extra sets of keys made for the storage units we currently use. She turned in her set to be the office copy and suggested to have them signed out by whoever uses them. If they do not bring them back the signed agreement should state they will be responsible for replacing them. If they need replaced the school will have to purchase new lock & key set all together.
Old Business:
A pizza party still needs to be given to Mrs. Winters herself and the 2nd grade children that were in her class last year for the Penny Wars prize earned.
We need to determine who gets to keep the playground equipment from the Community Christian location for this school year. Could it be used at the Corinth location if funding has been provided for head-start to purchase what they need?

Business Session
An online conference presentation was made during this session in regards to partnering with Seven Star for a virtual classroom setting for middle school. This business is located out of Cincinnatti, Ohio. They are an accredited online Christian School with over 300 partner schools and over 6000 students. They offer 75 courses, AP college board approved courses and college prep courses. Keaton Smith made a motion to take on the Seven Star program as a school partner. Dana made a second motion and all were in favor with none opposed. Laptop check outs for middle school to take home if needed will be available. Parents must sign an insurance agreement to cover replacement cost if damaged or lost. Keaton will provide the insurance policy and give to the office.
Kiwanis Club representative was present at this meeting. They are interested in starting a student level club at the middle school level.
Our annual auction needs to be in planning. Lisa Baxter has agreed to come in and help train new people for this project. Lori Hopper will bring in all the paperwork she has from past auctions. The auction date has been set for October 28, 2011. Mrs. Vera Spurlock was suggested to help with organizing this in a leadership position, perhaps as project manager. Jackie Mills was also suggested.
The school may sell the smart board and use that money to purchase an updated one or some type of mobile version that is comparable.
Missy Black will be organizing the chicken festival events. Nothing to report on this as of now.
The nomination process for board nominations are now open through September 19th.
Keaton Smith made a motion to give Mr. Allen permission to waiver the technology by-laws as needed for special accommodations. Dana made a second motion and all present were in favor with none opposed.
