4th Grade Book Reports

There will be 5 book reports throughout the year.  You may choose one of three ways to present your book.

1) Oral report - a few possibilities that you could present in front of the class are a commercial, a news report, a biography of a character, a puppet show, etc.  Your job is to know your presentation, not read it.  Be thorough!  Be creative!

2)  An art representation:  you will choose one scene, aspect, character or part of the book to share in your own way.  You may use any medium - paints, paper, cardboard, clay, crayons, etc.  Choose an aspect you found particularly interesting to represent in your way.  Be thorough!  Be creative!

3)  A written report:  a few possibilities are the next chapter, a book review, a character analysis, a researched report, or a book cover.  All should be written in your best cursive or typed on the computer.  This should be well written, using your best word choice.  Be sure to check your work for proper spelling, punctuation and general neatness.  Have an adult check it, too!  A basic symmary is NOT the only way to write a written report.  Be thorough!  Be creative!

As you notice there are 5 book reports in all.  You will be required to do 1 of each type of book report and two of your choice.  You may choose to do these in any order as long as throughout the year you complete 1 oral, 1 art, 1 written report and two of your choosing.
